Structural design flaws

Algorithmic stablecoins that rely on a secondary token to absorb volatility, rather than hard collateral, are structurally more exposed to this kind of reflexive collapse. When market confidence in the secondary token breaks, the mechanism meant to defend the peg can instead accelerate its destruction, minting more of a token nobody wants in an attempt to restore balance.
