What Is Blockchain?
A shared digital ledger maintained by thousands of independent computers instead of one company. Transactions are grouped into blocks, each cryptographically linked to the previous one, making recorded history practically impossible to alter. Bitcoin introduced the design in 2009; today blockchains underpin all cryptocurrencies, DeFi, and NFTs.
