What Is Blob?
A dedicated cheap data space added to Ethereum by EIP-4844 (2024) for rollups to post transaction data, priced separately from regular gas. Blobs cut L2 fees roughly tenfold overnight and are the foundation of Ethereum's rollup roadmap.
