Freezing TRX, Tron's term for staking it toward resource generation, locks the tokens for a period in exchange for a recurring allotment of bandwidth or energy proportional to the amount frozen, letting active users of the network avoid paying per-transaction fees directly as long as their frozen TRX generates enough resource allowance to cover their usage.
